    * James read a summary of July finances, noted he has not yet finished the finances for August.

    * 16-17 September 2017, Kilobots Canadian National Championship

    * 28-29 October 2017, pet expo at Market Mall in old zellers building. Will be a table setup if anyone is interested.

    * Rylan offered to do a workshop on Kilns
      * Our neighbor, Michelle, wants to become a member and has a couple kilns in her garage that could come to techworks
      * Rylan is going to talk to the land lord to clear putting in provisions in the yard for having a kiln

  * Equipment maintenance schedule
    * Laser cutter currently experiencing ghosting and reduced cutting performance
      * Been adjusted and is working good now
      * Reminder to raise the head when done with the machine so that the head doesn't collide with the table and make sure head will not impact material and weights
      * Also check the head before turning on the laser to make sure it is up
      * Couple things to check is feel the head, if it is warm the laser is out of alignment. Also check the chiller to make sure it is actually cooling
      * Ghosting is bad, if the cutter is ghosting discontinue use and contact to board to get the machine fixed.

  * New Business
    * Material Storage - Do not leave your stuff at the space (unless you have permission/renting space)
    * Suggestion to put a formal limit to allowance for leaving WIP projects at the space
    * Make sure to clean up material and the space in general after working on a project
    * James updated insurance to note we run workshops, so we are now covered on that front however address still needs to be updated
      * Insurance recommends waivers for workshops
