Meeting minutes: October 14, 2014

Regular items
- Financials update
  - $3521 in the bank, but this month's rent not yet deposited. $371 in Paypal waiting to be pulled out.
  - Received a donation of $177
  - 29 full members, 2 associate
  - $1510/month cash flow (slight above break even)
- Reports on committees
  - Workshop committee
    - Autonomous robot workshop: October 18, 1pm – 4pm
    - Still planning to do T-shirt making November 27th, 7pm. Bring $10 for materials. T-shirt provided, but feel free to bring your own.
    - Sheila hosting the 3D modelling workshop at 7:30pm, this Thursday, October 16. Please bring your own laptop if you are able.
- Member projects
  - Sheila's Durga action figure Kickstarter is live; sign up before November 7 if you are interested.
- Tools
  - The motor driver on Goliath needs to be replaced. Total cost is ~$350. Please consider an additional donation this month to help fund it. Collected $73 in donations at the meeting today. Jim already donated $100 via Paypal.
New business
- We got paid $177 from the Cliff Wright library for the Ephemeral library sign. That is being donated to Techworks.
- PetroTag is moving out of here in February 2015. We have right of first refusal for it, but the cost would be considerable. It's 4000 sq ft total. Approximately $3800/month more. Have until end of week to discuss. Our rental for this side is safe until their lease is up (in 2016?).
- Kurtis asked about Innovation Place and the Prototyping Center. James had heard that Peachy is currently in talks with them. He has heard nothing back from them yet. James will contact Fred and see if they are still considering our help with it.
- There is a Kickstarter to bring back RoboGames. Please help out!
