Attendance: 11 members
Motion to accept meeting minutes from March 14, 2017 accepted unanimously. Rylan opposed via lazy putting arm down.

Acknowledgements
- Erin did an interview at techworks about how social media affects business and gave a tour of the space
- Scott did a TV spot on CTV, demonstrated a Breathalyzer with host finishing the circuit and testing
- James and Scott manned a table at the library event and Al gave a speech
- Roger for bringing a friend and encouraging to sign up
- Al for getting front door strike organized and installed
- Scott and Randy for working on the Door/Access system
Equipment maintenance schedule/plan still in development, reminder to take care of equipment and report any issues and/or concerns (ie. bandsaw blade needs replacing). email: thespace@sktechworks.ca
Finances
- Total Profit $584.01 (membership + rental space)
- $61.70 in donation's
- ~$584 expected next month
- Currently break even come September, though some membership and rental space expected to be discontinuing in near future, ~$200/mo estimated not long term
- +4 members to get to even
New Business
- Strike installed on front door, had to be installed professionally due to front tenant, invoice incoming $500-$900
  - Call for voluntary donations to help cover the costs

- Goals for the year
  - Outreach, promote maker culture in Saskatoon
  - Improving the space
    - fixing the drywall
    - optimizing the space through reorganization and modifications
    - utilizing the space upstairs once we are in the black
    - setting up video editing station upstairs
    - new tools, table saw that doesn't scare people
  - Outside collaborations
    - Button making at the library idea, have techworks members help staff the event, details are in the works with Al
  - Scott signed us up for techsoup.com to get cheap legit software
- Purgatory
  - Rylan took claim to his water cooler that he forgot was his
  - Randy clarified the other one he brought, mostly for parts of compressor and heat exchanger.
